Sean has a mailing list that includes a great number of the GTR owners in the country....  you're not on it yet?   One day after talking to him at length, I started getting CC's of messages regarding GTR drags, events, meets, etc.....

Guess you haven't been kissing enough tyndago-@ss...lol!

Sami has a US owners Yahoo group...

I started a Yahoo Group on Skyline GT-R a few years ago.   April 27,1999  - 340 members currently.

Its not 100% active. Not like message boards , but a few owners around the world.

Click to join us_skyline_owners (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/us_skyline_owners/join)

I will then ask you to mail me pictures of your Skyline (in the USA) before accepting your membership. There isn't much activity in the mailing list, mainly just for the purpose to reach only US owners if necessary.

Canadians would also do. There isn't much activity on the list anyway, I was hoping it would help in getting parts but FreshAlloy has taken care of that.

GMC Cyclone=  AWD Turbo V-6 ( 4.3 liter I think) powered S-10/S-15 pick-up with factory ground effects...  Pretty much like a Buick Grand National with AWD under a truck body.

GMC Typhoon=  Same thing but with a S-10/S-15 Blazer body.

GMC Syclone.  They spelled it weird because Ford owns the "Cyclone" name.

Not really like a Buick Grand National. A few of the early prototypes had the GN 3.8 liter motor in it, however there were issues with using a "Buick" motor in a GMC/Chevy truck.

The GN 3.8 liter motor is honestly a better motor than the 4.3 Chevy motor that came in the Syclone/Typhoon. The 4.3 is similar in construction to a 350 Chevy architecture.

AWD means they get out of their own way. They are pretty quick.

This is one page with a lot of videos, and media coverage of the Syclone, and Typhoon.

I know its not a GN...  I was just trying to give a similarity to go from.

All three of them were where GM took and existing and unsuspecting platform and stuck in a turbo V-6 and a menacing paint job, thus making a fairly bad ass stock vehicle.

They all three ruled the streets for awhile in the late 80's and early 90's.

Never noticed about the name...  great info.

The GN thing.  So many people ask - "Does that have the Buick GN motor in it?" Common misconception on most peoples part. Just doing my little piece to keep it straight.

I had a 86 Buick GN. I have 2 Typhoons , and a Syclone.

A few of the videos on Sportmachines are me. The 11 sec Ty, Ty vs Mustang , and RWD Syclone in a parking lot...

I like T-Types, probably more than GN. Lots of people know what the GN is. Less know what the T-Type is.

I help at RB every now and then.  RB20 stuff. Not as familar as with RB26 stuff, but we get lots of parts and pieces for people.

We have some 26 stuff in stock, some 25 stuff in stock.

You can IM Kenny at AOL  - RBMotoring
