hmm specs

hicas 2
LSD apaprently...need to do some routene stuff before i test it
auto sadly(rb20 5 speed swap in april...car comes off road in sept)
106000km, timing belt changed at 90400
pulls strong, but there appears to be a heat sheild rattle, and well it's slow compared to my s13...but no to slow.

i really have nothing to compare it to, but it feels fairly laggy for 7psi,  like boost comes on STRONG at 3000 rpm,  but that seems a bit high...i really don't know much about how the rb's act, i'm just going by all the sr's i've ever worked on.

It does feel grunty down low, and well everyone here thinks it's ugly and hates it, lol and it fits in with all the camry's and maxima's of similar ere.

the TE's look nice on it, i'm glad i kept them from the sil40, it just seems to suit the car.

I did have a surgeing problem today, the gas was a little low, so i filled it up and ranthe car at idle, then reved and it would loose all power at 2500rpm, kinda like rev cut.  SO i checked all the IC pipes, maf plug changed the airfilter. etc.  Turned th car off.  played with the tps plug and it's fine now.
any idea's?  or just low on the fuel?

ecu is #65  am i corrent assuming that a blitz tuned r32 ecu will work in the car aswell?  Again using sr knowledge, i've run a 62 blitz tuned on a type x blacktop and it ran great.

thanks for all the good words sofar.  i really do love this car, can't wait to put the z31300zx turbo on it.

The RB's are very different to the SR's in alot of ways, they dont have the low down torque like the SR but rev a whole lot better. make sure you run good fuel in it, the highest octane you can get. Be careful with ECU's etc, skyline and Cefiro RB20's had quite a few parts that were different. Cefiros are rated at a lower power figure than the Skyline version. once you change that exhaust to a 3" plus it will be a new car, those pee shooters on the cef's are waaaaaaaaaaay to small, they strangle the hell out of them. BTW go RB25 turbo over VG30 IMO

hey thanks, i really apprceate the advice.

the only thing about the 25 turbo is availibility here, importers want 5-800$ for one, or i could spend $50 at a junkyard and 200 haveing the vg30 turbo rebuilt.

thanks for the link...any idea's on an exhaust?

does it use the same as a skyline?  because it looks fairly similar to my s13's.

hey, congrats on the new ride. How is it going these days? have you modded it or are you keeping it standard? we have lot of them here in NZ, I bet it is a treat having something a little different rto what is over there!
