Title: CERTIFICATION FOR QUICK RELEASE STEERING WHEEL?
Post by: Aubrey107 on May 26, 2015, 09:32:31 AM
Just wondering if certification (or can you even get them certed) is needed for a quick release steering wheel kit? Wanting it for security mainly. I couldn't see anything on the LTSA site really, but i can imagine that having an easily removable steering wheel may be cause for a cert. Thanks in advance.

Check with an LVV certifier. I am pretty sure they need to be certified. I hope you don't have an airbag steering wheel. If you do, then its a NO NO to change the wheel.

Yeah spoke with a lvv dude last October. If u have airbags u need cert bt need them professionally removed for cert. Ring Neil on the shore he's a G.C will help you out.
