Title: 2007 Skyline 350-GT - replaced motor now idling problem
Post by: Lil350GT on July 08, 2016, 09:09:44 AM
Has anyone had to replace their motor and then found the ECU refuses to re-learn the idle balance?
Our motor seized up due to water damage from surface flooding so we had to have a new motor installed.
But its now been four weeks and we still don't have the car back because the garage can't get it to idle properly. It just keeps revving and dropping consantly. Apparently the computer is supposed to be able to be reset but with these twin throttle motors the reset doesn't work.
There must be a workaround. Does anyone know what it is?

have they done this?

also checking the obvious things like vacuum leaks, the air flow meters and also that the ecu is right for the engine there are a few variations

On a side note do you still have the old engine?
