Stagea - the Skyline wagon / 260RS Roaming the Shore
« on: November 12, 2007, 04:40:03 PM »
There is another black 260RS on the bronze wheels. Belongs to a guy named Solomon who is a really nice guy. He works on the shore, he used to have a white 260RS which was written off when a guy in a 300Z crossed the center line out in Helensville & took him out.

General Performance / who reprograms ecu for ecr33 gts(t)
« on: October 30, 2007, 08:05:47 AM »
Be careful of the Mines ECU's especially if buying second hand. They are tuned to run 100+ Octane gas in Japan(This is available @ the pump in Japan) From experiance with GTR's & other cars imported from Japan with the Mine's ECU fitted with minor mods (exhaust, airfilter but not injectors) I have refitted the factory ECU & found the car runs a lot better on NZ 98 octane. I am sure other people have differing opinion's but this is what I have found.

General Performance / Rb26 Rebuild Question
« on: September 28, 2007, 01:21:14 PM »
It will work out cheaper to re-bore & fit oversize pistons. This is of course dependent on how many cylinders are damaged. Even then you are better off to re-bore. Do some ringing around & you might find that forged pistons work out to be a similar price to factory oversize. They will also be a positive for selling the car.

Whats happening with an update. It takes forever to log in or do anything on the forum at the moment. Is this why it is so quiet? Are people losing interest because of this. Can the company hosting the site get something faster then a 286 as the server? I wait in anticipation.

General Performance / RB26 crank in RB25DET
« on: June 28, 2007, 07:40:32 AM »
Yes it will work fine. Get some RB26 rods as well, they are stronger then the RB25 rods. Try to get an R33 crank if you can as it has the longer oil pump drive.

Why not RB25? A lot cheaper then the 26 which will give you more $$$ for mods. The VH45DETT would also be pretty awesome. A ton of torque!

General Performance / Engine Stand
« on: June 07, 2007, 08:36:12 PM »
You bolt it to the back of the block where the bell housing would bolt on. What is the weight rating of your engine stand?  If its bending it may be to light weight. RB motors are heavy.

General Performance / 02 sensor Questions
« on: June 01, 2007, 10:15:45 PM »
Will check on Tuesday on the 02 sensor price. Its a Bosch unit which I have fitted to a number of cars over the years (my own included). It functions exactly the same as the factory unit. Give me a call 021904199.

General Performance / Push or Pull type clutch on a r33 gtr
« on: May 30, 2007, 07:43:32 AM »
Looking at the photo its a pull type. The mounting bolts for the slave cylinder are to the rear so they push forward on the arm so pull on the clutch centre.:)

General Performance / 02 sensor Questions

I have the diagnostic software on my lap top as well as the data cable. I can also get an after market O2 sensor which is a lot cheaper than the factory unit.
