Maintenance & Car Care / Vibrations :(
« on: April 28, 2015, 10:43:53 AM »
Hi guys,

Haven't posted for a while. Updates on the cefiro though. Sourced a factory manual cefiro driveshaft and what do you know..? the vibration disappears. the next day?? get shunted from behind on my way to work. Only smacked into the towbar (muahaha) but now theres a shudder on take off. and by take off i mean, 3k drop the clutch shudder. Anything to look out for? Been under for a look and everything is tight as. Thought it might be diff but the past few wet days have given me the opportunity to test the diff in a smooth concrete car park late at night and its not shuddering. My cousin mentioned trailing arms, google translated to upper control arms, but someone said traction arms? D: D: D:

Cockram Nissan Christchurch / Fuel Injector O - Rings

Leaking fuel injectors, so thought might be a case of replacing them. How much shipped to my address unless I can pick them up. I gave you guys a bell and the person I talked to (Greg?) said they were out of stock and had to be shipped from Auckland warehouse. Not sure if it's the bottom or top ones but it's leaking onto the plenum.

So I took a closer look at the driveshaft finally, and what would you know, the final rear uni-joint before the diff has a farking notch in both directions. Threw iMantis's shaft in there to test and the vibrations went away. Also, the hangar bearing was fitted in reverse. Could create issues with lining up holes and such. How would you go about swapping the hangar bearing over?

How easy is it to replace bushes like that?

I think the single pot term refers to a single piston caliper. If the caliper bolts to your knuckle and fits correctly with the brake disc, then I don't see why not.

I am all booked in for that L.D.C.C thing. About time I made an appearance in town. Have to clean the Cef though. She's a bit dirty from all the phat one wheel peels and daily driving she's done.

New update coming sometime tomorrow. Adding flight school with some new planes (passenger and military jet) as well as an old school corvette (corquette). More clothes etc.

Nice work on the website, and with the addition of tapatalk compatibility (although i can't find the site when searching in the tapatalk app). Any way to increase the top-margin of the header text? it's smack bang flat against the very top of the website with a bit of black below it. not too fussed over it though :D

Cheers Promaori, haven't activated the website officially or the tapatalk yet. Hoping to do later tonight. :)

It's gonna suck though because I won't see the flashy website stuff unless I'm logged in on a desktop or with Chrome for Android :(
