Alright so its been a while. Few things have changed since I've been inactive.
RB25DET S2 installed.
6 puk clutch
Full 3" straight through
BC Golds
GTR front bumper
S2 Headlights
R32 GTR rear wing
Extended LCA's

Just little things.






I've been flat out with work for a bit so haven't really done alot to the car. Started to lose motivation to keep doing things weekly.

General Performance / Fuel pump not priming?

Just put in my new rb25det S2 into my R33 and took out the original 25de S2.
Just wired as much as possible only one plug i'm trying to find off my alternator loom. But I just chucked the battery in and turned the ignition on to see if I had power and my fuel pumps not priming? I can fire the engine but obviously the pump not going its not going to fire up. Where is the fuel pump relay/fuse? My fuse box is in the front not the boot aswell.

Am I possibley missing a plug somewhere in my loom for it to turn on or the one plug from my alternator to the outside bottom fuse box plug thats causing my issue?

Any help would be great.

So since I last posted up. I did my first track day, sadly didn't go as planned. Got 6-7 laps on the track until I could hear a sound in the back of my mind that something wasn't right. Slowly crepped into the pits and could hear knocking, knew it wasn't right. Big end had gone and that was me for the day sadly.



The only pictures of the day from the one session sadly.

So the following week, bought myself an engine crane and took the motor out.

Check that sump plug..


I've since cleaned up all the engine bay and bought S2 coupe lights on the weekend. Cut some metal out of the radiator support and made them fit snug.


Hopefully buying an imported RB25DET this week and will have it in for this weekend. Then possibley back to the track mid next month would be a nice treat.

I found the issue, as a few people stated out a FB forum that the tensioner was to tight. Backed it off a little and has managed to fix the issue.

General Performance / Harmonic balancer whining?

Just did my cambelt, water pump etc. I managed of all things to take a very minor chip ( in my opinion ) out of the middle of the Harmonic balancer. I've put it all back together, started it up and sounded fine. Went to adjust the timing and started getting a decent whine. Sounded like the P/S pulley was slipping on the belt or something. But i'm certain its coming from the harmonic balancer?
I guess its a tad hard for anyone to say if its the case without hearing it. Just curious if anyone would know if they've ever had/heard of that causing a whine? I know i'll need to replace it, currently looking for another one currently with no luck

Hey guys. So thought I'd upload a little update.

So lately since turboing the engine. I bought a front mount kit and I choose to upgrade the clutch, I bought a 4200lbs pressure plate and 6 puk HD clutch from AutoClutch since I've heard a few D1 guys run it and seemed like the way to go.
Replaced slave, master and went with braided clutch lines.

Right now I'm  replacing the water pump, timing belt etc as my pump has started leaking in the past few weeks. Hopefully may have a new alloy radiator to suit this week aswell all going well.
Also managed to buy some sedan skirts for $50 so I couldn't pass up the chance!

All going well, I should be attending my first track day on easter weekend. Have played on the pad a couple times. But with needing to run the clutch in I thought I'd take the step to do something I had been wanting to do for along time so here goes nothing  ;D

Will chuck up some new photos.

Believe it was a faulty slave as I had a feeling it was. Replaced slave and master and factory lines with a braided replacement and now it is fine.

What about the recircluation pipe? I did bleed at the master after doing slave then went back down and did slave again but no luck?

It made a sucking noise a few times when I released the slave but all nipples were tight not sure if thats normal either

Have just replaced the clutch, pressure plate and release bearing in my R33.
Will not give any pressure or anything once its bled. I've bled slave and the other brake nipple on the chassis/tunnel and the master with nothing fixing the issue.


Need help asap as I'm losing my shit trying to find the issue.

So I +T'd my rb25de+t the other week. Been messing around getting everything sorted before I took it for its first drive. Went up the road tonight for the first time and as soon as I'm coming on full boost it's almost like the ecu is saying "No" so I can't put all the power to the ground. Kind of hard to explain but I think someone might get what I mean.  Its almost like limp mode but with the turbo so to speak?
What would cause this and how to fix it?

The ecu is a remapped 20det ecu is what I've been told.

Hey guys. Wondering whats a good way to get more lock on my R33?

Will extended LCA's help ( on my list to do anyway )
Also what else is useful? I know I can go custom knuckles for $800 by keto down the line.

Currently just got adjustable castor arms up front.
