Hi all I have replaced my sparks with NGK ones that where recommended by SUb Zero on the gold coast. Now I have a problem. whenever I throttle off I got popping sounds from the front of the car like when you make popcorn. I chkd and I do not have any popcorn kernels in the engine if anyone was wondering

My other problem is when the car is moving it makes a very loud noise from the front as well like when a weed whacker sound.
I have revved the engine on idle and the noise is not there, it only comes on when I am driving. Had it revved to 9000rpm just to chk and someone told me that the engine is running really rough and the TCS  is searching  What the !!!

Maintenance & Car Care / RB20 sounds like a subaru on steriods
« on: June 08, 2002, 02:01:26 AM »
Hi all. My car has been in storage for close to a year and half. I have finally got it back and now it sounds really rough on idle. whne it warms up it sounds like a subura on steriods. Also it is very sluggish under 2000 rpm. Also when it was in neutrel. Revving it to 2000rpm it will drop off and rev back to 2000 rpm. Over 2000 rpm it is ok

HELP !!!

I am going to put half a cup of meths in a full tank of gas tomorrow and I am going to change the spark plugs when Mr GTR gets back from Japan. The oil and oil filter was changed last year in FEB and I had travelled less than 200 kms since parking and now.

Any ideas ????

General Discussion / Cameras worldwide suck

Cameras suck

The ruckus goes on about the proliferation of speed cameras in Britain. Columnist Tiff Needell has chimed in to say he counted 21 speed cameras on a road between the England/Scottish border and Glasgow. "None of them is sited on the many dangerous bends and crowded towns," says Needell. "They are all on the brief stretches of clear, straight road when you might overtake that 45m/h (72km/h) caravan convoy you've been stuck behind. A manoeuvre best performed by briefly accelerating to perhaps 70m/h (113km/h) before dropping back to 60m/h (100km/h). But now you must creep past right on the legal limit, spending longer than necessary on the wrong side of the road in case a camera is waiting for you." Sound familiar?

Cameras are money makers, They should be placed in areas of high accidents which they where meant for
