I'm having a bit of trouble with an order I've made with Greenline Motorsports ( and I was wondering if anyone else has had any problems recently or even if you've had no problems with a recent order.

I ordered some Tomei cams, adjustable cam gears, springs and solid lifters for a VG30 for a mate in March. Originally I was told the lifters were on backorder for 8 weeks which my mate was ok with. But when I enquired over 8 weeks later I was told they'd been pushed back to August but now when I try to contact them to find out the status of the lifters I'm not getting any reply. I've even asked for quote's for other parts in the mean time and haven't had any reply's. I've used them for quite a few years and they've always been quick to reply to emails and quick to send out orders, this is the first problem I've had.

I'm thinking of parting out an RB26 which has a blown piston and I want to find out what the parts are worth.  The motor is a R33 which had done about 50,000k's when I got it and I have since done about another 10,000k's on it.

The motor has a blown piston and would need a rebore, I don't think its too bad, I'd say one size over should be ok but I haven't had it measured.

So I'm wanting to find out what the following parts are worth:

Block, as I say would need a rebore but otherwise is in good condition
Head, nice and clean with cams and intake manifold, plenum etc
Crank, is an R32 one with jun crank collar fitted, this is from a previous rebuild I also have the orginal crank which would need a regrind
Blitz KKK K27 single turbo kit, including manifold, external wastegates and 2 into one airfilter adapter with aircleaners.  This setup made 471hp on a Dynomatics dyno at 1.4bar, sounds awesome when spooling up
ORC twin plate clutch in good condition
700cc Sard injectors
Splitfire coils
Motec M4 Pro ECU and loom to suit RB26
RB25DET gearbox
I've also got some used metal head gaskets.  Are they worth anything?

I think that's about it

General Performance / Tripple plate clutch on RB26
« on: November 02, 2005, 12:47:45 PM »
I run a tripple plate clutch on my RB26 and it recently ran a main bearing.  I've been told this is probably because of the clutch.  Is there any way to prevent the same thing from occuring again?  I know about not sitting at the lights with my foot on the clutch but is there anything else?

I'm trying to get a tacho working on a Motec M4 ecu.  I have it all hooked up and I'm getting a reading from the signal wire of RPM / 10000 ie, 800rpm = 0.08 volts on a multimeter.  I need to know what the factory ECU outputs to the tacho to see if this signal is correct.  So if anyone with a RB26 and factory ecu set up could measure this for me I'd really appreciate it.  The tacho signal wire is 7.

I've got GTR brakes in my 200sx with no ABS and would like to know what others have done with their master cylinder cause the ABS one only has 2 holes for the brake lines and the non-abs one has 3.

Forced Induction / MoTeC RB26 not starting
« on: January 02, 2005, 12:35:16 PM »
I'm hooking up a MoTeC M4 to my RB26 but its not starting.  I've got power to the coils but there's no spark and I don't think the injectors are firing either as there's no fuel smell when I remove the spark plug.  So it seems like the ECU isn't getting a signal to fire the coils and injectors.

I know its hard to diagnose this sort of thing cause there's so many variables but if anyone could give me an idea of what I should check I'd appreciate it.

I'm trying to find out what sort of gearbox I have.  It was sold to me as a 25t one but I'm not so sure.  I'm looking for a gear stick and apparantly the RB20 and RB25 ones are the same (which is the same as a CA18) but the CA18 ones doesn't fit.  The plastic part that goes into the shifter hole is too small.  The reason I'm asking about the slave cylinder mounting is because I know the 25t mount horizontally and most other Nissans mount vertically, but I'm not sure about the gtr one.

Forced Induction / GTS25t gear stick
« on: October 31, 2004, 06:44:35 PM »
I need a gear stick for a 25t gear box.  Are there any other's that'll do the job?

There's been a bit of talk lately that suggests that you can road register non-frontal impact compliant cars (new imports)  if you put in a roll cage and get it certified for motor sport event's such as hill climbs, rallying etc.

Can anyone tell me whether this is true and what the process is for doing this?

General Skyline Discussion / Quickest R32 GTS-t in NZ?
« on: September 30, 2004, 09:24:09 AM »
No one else has mentioned it so I thought I'd post it up.

On Sunday QIK R32 ran a time of 11.871 @ 118.73.  Its been said that this is the quickest RB20 powered GTS-t in NZ.  Can any verify this?  I haven't heard of any quicker.  Anyway good time, congratulations QIK R32.

General Performance / Electric radiator fan(s)
« on: September 28, 2004, 09:36:18 AM »
I'm putting a RB26 into my S13 200sx and need to use an electric fan for my radiator.  Just wondering what other people are using and what cfm I should look for.

I need to get hold of James from JDM Wholesale asap.  Tried email and it got bounced back, tried both phone numbers but just got answer phones.  Left a message but if you know James he'll probably never get back to me.

General Performance / OS Giken twin plate clutch
« on: April 03, 2003, 09:26:15 AM »
I'm looking at purchasing a worn OS Giken twin plate clutch but I need to find out if I can get it rebuilt or if there's a source for spare plates for them.

I called a couple of places in Christchurch and they said they can't be rebuilt and I'd have to source spare plates from Australia or Japan.

Can anyone offer any advise on this?

Forced Induction / R32 GTR Clutch
« on: March 02, 2003, 06:27:55 PM »
Well my standard clutch finally gave up today at the drags, so I'm looking for options on a new one.

Just wondering if I can get some opinions of what I need and some experiences of other peoples clutches.  I'm not sure how much horse power I'm running but I was able to get a 12.4 1/4 mile time when my clutch was working OK.  I'm hoping to get into the high 11's at some stage and would want a clutch cable of that.
