Yo!
I still have a look here every so often..... sold my R32 almost 3 years ago now. I drive a '04 Toyota Funcargo. 1.5l of pure fury lol
The two cars are worlds apart but I have a 6 year old step daughter and a 2 1/2 year old daughter.... a gas drinking, aging sports car was no longer practical

From a 4 door R32. They're yours if you can put them to good use  :)

Do you have a 2 or 4 door? What seals are you specifically talking about?
I have some door seals from a 4 door you can have if they're right for you

I sold my Skyline, bought a Toyota FunCargo (go on...laugh, I really don't care  ;D It's got FAR more room than a Skyline, it's a high spec model and has 1.5l of pure fury under the bonnet). My partner and I also have a 7 month old girl (as well as her almost 5 year old) so yeah, SDU sorta took a back seat to life.
Very rarely get time for the internet... or even tv these days!

I don't know if this will be your problem, the fault I know of is due to wear n tear... yours may be electrical with the odd continuity.

Below is a pic of the headlight switches... over time they can wear down so far they no longer make proper contact. A mate had the same problem with his R32.... intermittent fault with one headlight. Sometimes it would turn on, sometimes it wouldn't. I stripped down the switch for him and noticed one of the black bumps was worn a lot more than the other 2. To fix it I broke the top off a BIC pen (the clicky part lol), sanded it down to the right height, sanded down the black part of the switch to get a good contact surface and superglued the two parts together. That was many, many years ago and to this day, as far as I know it's still working
Hope that helps :)

I have mine set so the OP is always on top. You can do it by going to your forum profile, then at above your avatar on the top left, hover over 'Modify Profile' and click 'Look and Layout' from the drop-down box. Scroll down to the second to last bulletpoint and untick "Show most recent posts at the top". I'll probably make a step-guide with photos as it seems this isn't that well known to people on the forums. :)

Thank you for saving my sanity... OP post at the bottom was driving me nuts!

Yep.. tis a real shame to see this forum get ever quieter :(
Might be a sign of the times too... Skylines are far less common now than they were 5-10 years ago. I mean R32-R34... the shapes that attracted the most members here.
Anyone want to buy my R32 now I have everyones attention?! :D

Honestly, not sure yet.... I haven't trawled tradme to get a good idea on price. I wouldn't think any less than $7500 though.

Where do u live man? If you can get to the hawkes bay I can make that thing look like you have never seen it before, I've been grooming cars for the past 11 years and have built a pretty good reputation for what I can do with paint.
Just a thought

Cheers for the offer man but I'm in the northern end of Auckland. Used to live in Hastings a few years back but the 5+ hour drive unfortunately isn't worth it, I just need to find my elbow grease and get stuck into the R32

Unfortunately, my R32 will be up for sale in the foreseeable future. I'm currently (and slowly due to a lack of time) cleaning it inside and out to get it ready for sale. I wish I could keep it but with the distance to work its too expensive on fuel to be a daily (and it was never bought to be a daily).... and with a baby on the way I won't get a chance to use it on weekends so it's time to move on. I've already bought a Toyota econobox so once the R32 is in salable condition it'll reluctantly be for sale.

This is from another forum I post on, it's a long thread... but well worth a read. It'll answer all of your questions (probably) and even answer questions you didn't know you needed to know lol

Thanks for the input guys....
I have made the decision to sell, keeping it simply isn't a practical option for me as much as I wish I could.
I'm in no hurry at all to sell, still need to get a sensible daily driver before it goes too.

Skirts were an option... not every Skyline got them (even my old R33 25-t didn't get them).
...and the bumper if you're referring to that too - the other style isn't M Spec, just commonly gets called that. It was an option on both n/a and turbo R32s
I've left the exterior plain on purpose... could have sourced those parts but I chose to leave it boring on the outside :)

Hey all....
A little voice in the back of my head is saying the time to sell could be near, as much as I'll avoid that situation if it's possible (partly comes down to finding a cheap-ish daily for work).
So right now I'm keen to know what sorta coin my car would fetch if I was to put it on the market. Not interested in browsing the auction sites to get an idea, most are beaten up skid hacks that demand way too much money. This isn't that type of car....

Details -
1991 R32 GTS-t (owned it for about 6 years)
Manual (converted well before I bought it)
136xxxkms - genuine kms, was in storage for 4 1/2 years before I bought it, it's only very recently become my daily driver.
M Spec
Tinted (legally)
Alarmed
17" R34 GT-t wheels
Cusco front strut brace
Cusco rear strut brace
Tein Super Street suspension
HKS Hi Power cat back exhaust
K&N pod filter with custom made cold air box/intake
RB25DET turbo (S2 - nylon compressor)
FMIC
RIPS Front facing plenum kit
RIPS 80mm throttle body
GFB Universal Hybrid BOV
Alloy radiator
Air diversion plate
Catch can
Light weight flywheel
Exedy Sports Tuff clutch kit
Maybe more I've forgotten

So... what do ya reckon it would sell for?

Audio, Security and Electrical / 20DET manual reverse lights
« on: June 09, 2014, 06:17:44 PM »
Yeah as far as I know you don't need reverse lights for a WoF.... if the car has 2 reverse lights and one is blown then it will fail. But if both aren't working it will pass. Odd, I know!

Mine didn't work for ages (reverse plug was undone, didn't need them so wasn't bothered about jacking up the car and doing up the plug). Never failed a WoF as a result... or got a warning. They're working now and I'm SO glad they are... makes reversing on dark driveways so much easier lol
