I'm having a bit of trouble with an order I've made with Greenline Motorsports ( and I was wondering if anyone else has had any problems recently or even if you've had no problems with a recent order.

I ordered some Tomei cams, adjustable cam gears, springs and solid lifters for a VG30 for a mate in March. Originally I was told the lifters were on backorder for 8 weeks which my mate was ok with. But when I enquired over 8 weeks later I was told they'd been pushed back to August but now when I try to contact them to find out the status of the lifters I'm not getting any reply. I've even asked for quote's for other parts in the mean time and haven't had any reply's. I've used them for quite a few years and they've always been quick to reply to emails and quick to send out orders, this is the first problem I've had.

General Performance / need a little help (rb26 swap)

One simple thing to make sure of is that the fuel hoses are the right way around.

I'm just trying to get an idea of what everything is worth at the moment.  If I do decide to sell I think it would be best to sell them together though.

I'm thinking of parting out an RB26 which has a blown piston and I want to find out what the parts are worth.  The motor is a R33 which had done about 50,000k's when I got it and I have since done about another 10,000k's on it.

The motor has a blown piston and would need a rebore, I don't think its too bad, I'd say one size over should be ok but I haven't had it measured.

So I'm wanting to find out what the following parts are worth:

Block, as I say would need a rebore but otherwise is in good condition
Head, nice and clean with cams and intake manifold, plenum etc
Crank, is an R32 one with jun crank collar fitted, this is from a previous rebuild I also have the orginal crank which would need a regrind
Blitz KKK K27 single turbo kit, including manifold, external wastegates and 2 into one airfilter adapter with aircleaners.  This setup made 471hp on a Dynomatics dyno at 1.4bar, sounds awesome when spooling up
ORC twin plate clutch in good condition
700cc Sard injectors
Splitfire coils
Motec M4 Pro ECU and loom to suit RB26
RB25DET gearbox
I've also got some used metal head gaskets.  Are they worth anything?

I think that's about it

They should be the same.  S13's have the same arms but smaller ball joints so maybe that's what you have.

General Performance / Gtr Diff Into A Gtst

It can be done by swapping the rear cover to your original, then you need hubs and half shafts, and the drive shaft is different.

The wider stance is because of the lower offset wheels.

As long as they're high quality T6 aircraft grade alloy and torqued to correct specs then they should be ok.  I've been told they're not actually legal, according to the LTSA all wheel nuts should be steel.

The drags on the 28th have been cancelled.  The next ones are 18 June.

You probably wouldn't want to go to a non-hicas subframe because you loose the toe adjustment unless get adjustable toe arm adjusters.  If you use the lock bar or the midori kit you can still adjust your toe.

The lock bar weighs about 1kg so the weight of the setup compared to the midori one won't be much more.  I suspect the price of the midori one would be a bit higher though.

Yeah OS Giken twin plate is easy to drive.  I've had ORC triple plate which was very hard to drive.  Now have ORC twin plate which is a lot easier but not as easy to drive as the OS one.

Maintenance & Car Care / GTR G/Box enough for what?

Shockproof light weight is rated at 75W/140.  Another oil I have used is Valvoline 75W/90 Synthetic it seemed to be ok.  If you can't get then most 75W/90 oils should be ok.  I actually did probably about 50 6,000-6,500rpm launches on the standard clutch before it started to slip.  That was on a reasonably standard car.

You should change your gearbox oil to Redline shockproof light weight.  Launching gtr's at high revs is fine, I've heard of very few issues with doing this.  The gearboxes are fine, I have heard of one input shaft breaking but that's it.  The drivers side half shaft can break but once again this is pretty rare.

The main problem is with 3rd gear, they can break once you start to do 10's but up to that they seem to be ok.

General Performance / Mysterious Piping, please help !!

Nah that's just a bolt blocking off that hose.  If you unscrew that you'll probably just get a vacuum leak.

This is going to be hard to explain but here goes...

This is how the factory set up should be.  The hoses go from the turbo actuators and join together.  Then they t-off again and one goes to the intake plenum and the other goes to the boost control valve.  Then the boost control valve has another feed that comes from the intake before the turbo.

It looks like the person who modified your set up has just feed lines from the intake to both turbo actuators and this probably causes the hesitation that you're getting.  You need to hook it up as its supposed to be from the factory with the boost control valve, Is that still there?
