Maintenance & Car Care / Head Bolt Issue"s Torque Specs???
« on: September 04, 2011, 05:18:16 PM »
My Most recent purchase is a r32 4 door rb20det. i got it with a blown head gasket. i've got the head off after some hassle! ( 3 head bolts had been stripped so we had to MIG My socket to it ) i've just had the head skimmed and have the new gasket. i just need head bolts and torque specs then i should be away!- though.... after looking at the top of piston number 5 there are small dents nothing to big but defenatly not supposed to be there. How badly will this affect it??? also do i need to torque the cams in speciffically?? if yes can anyone point me in the right direction? also would it be recommended to get a new intake gasket and exhuast gasket or can i just use some putty stuff?

Cheers Ollie
