Hamilton Cruise!!!!!
« on: July 03, 2001, 10:38:56 AM »
Having a think of something different for Saturday night, would anybody be interested in going for a cruise down to Hamilton on Saturday night?  And if so, we could meet at the BP Bombay (the one off the motorway) as it is on the way, and is  very accessable for everybody, as not many live past the BP.   I was thinking we could meet up at around 7pm on Saturday night, leaving at 7.30pm at the latest.  We should arrive around 9pm in which we could grab a late dinner at the BK by the large Caltex, which I am sure most of you know where this is as it is one of our points on our cruises down to the Mount etc.  I am sure the Hamiltonians would welcome us with open arms  :p    We can all head back up to Auckland at around 11pm or 12 pm, depending on what people would like to do, but it would be good for a change, and promoting SDU down the line!  So please if you are interested, place a post up here and we will see you at the BP jsut after the Papakura turnoff at around 7pm on Saturday night!!!!   :D

it might be better to meet up at Dallas motors on Victoria street (main st) as that is where most of the action is , I will be keen for a cruise down to the foggy city . I have to go on one of the dash R "cruises" as well.

Brett, You can bring any car you wish!  :p   All 6 of them if you like!  Brenhan, I know Dallas motors is the usual meeting place, but i am sure a few people will want to grab a bite to eat before we start the "cruising" but I have put a post also in the Waikato forum stating where we will be, and we can cruise over to Dallas Motors after we have eaten :D

Yup sounds like areally good idea.  One thing I noticed on a prior cruise down that way.  Just before you get to the round about at this ( Auckland) end of Hamilton (Burger King on the corner) there is a really wide area, that Trucks can pull off onto to turn into some of those slightly out of town businesses, without affecting traffic flow.  It is the perfect place to stop and re-group at that end to get us all cruising into the main street of Hamilton together.  We sort of fell apart when we cruised down for the AGM, and I felt that if we had stopped and waited up at that spot it would have looked awesome with the numbers we had on the cruise that day.

I think I'm free this weekend, cruise on!

Dont forget, those who want to come on the cruise, we are meeting at the BP (just off the motorway, just after the Papakura turnoff) at 7pm!  Should be a good night for those who can handle the late night!  :D

That's a very styley look mate.  Did they take much?   Hopefully the window was the only damage caused.  Rips my shorts hearing about that sort of thing.....

If you wanted you can ride shotgun with me.  But at this stage I am not 100% positive that I'll be cruising as yet.  Drop me an e-mail if you are interested if I go.

Sorry to hear about your car dude. I hope the theiving bastards didn't take anything irreplacable (think thats the right word) or that has sentimental value to you.

Oh yeah. Sorry Debs can't make the cruise, I get embarassed by people looking at my smokey skyline. Gotta save my pennies for a newer engine.:headbutt:
