Good Question,
I am not sure of his name. He and his friends seemed to be part of a local drift club. A couple had Silvias and I think two of them had Skylines. One of them had the R33 GTS25t which was going hard. They were all Asian boys, and all seemed pretty friendly but I did'nt approach them cos' they all looked pretty busy.

The S15 driver was soooo.... good at drifting man! It was cool, he went hard and only spun once. Very impressive!

the GTO
« Reply #7 on: September 03, 2001, 09:37:41 PM »
um yeah that was a real pity,
he was the fastest on the track in the twin turbo GTO, but there was a light nimble lil' WRX going hardout. The GTO was'nt quite in it's element by comparison, although he went hard!  :headbutt:
Exciting stuff! and they don't even charge spectators!!:jack:

Have a chat to Lochy25t,  he is friends with a few of them drifters. They occasionally come down to Wellington for a cruise and I think a couple of them are looking at  joining SDU

The GTO wasnt attempting to drift....just got a bit loaded up coming into the esses and let go.

It'll be good to see that car on full song...Magnit was only running it in on Sunday so low boost etc etc....usually it wouldve eaten the rex infront of it and then some!

The last open day for this year is October 28th.

SDU Central is intending having a large presence there including a few guys who are not overly keen to actually go out on the track.

This is a great chance to see some exciting antics on the track, some pretty cool cars and generally have a great day in the sun (we hope)
