Good one Shell!!

I'll try and explain the PSI thing without getting to complicated........

PSI is the imperial measurement unit for pressure - Pounds per Square Inch. The turbo charger in your Skyline is an air compressor and PSI refers to the pressure it is making, the higher the figure the greater the 'Boost pressure'.

This pressure has to be regulated by a 'Wastegate', a valve  which opens when the pressure reaches a set level, the easiest way to increase your Boost is to raise the set level the 'Wastegate' opens with a boost controller. These can vary in price and complexity, basic ones starting from around $100 rangeing up to $1100 plus.

Remember that the rest of your cars mechanicals have to deal with the increased pressure and corresponding power increase so they may also need modification depending on the amount you increase the boost pressure by.

A slight increase in boost pressure above standard will certainly by noticed and should not require modifications to the rest of the mechanicals, there are however modifications that can be made to compliment the increased boost which may in turn allow a further increase in boost pressure.................................and so it goes on.

Bottom line - the more performance you want, the more modifications you have to make, the more money you have to spend.

Easy

thanx Bonkers (and all others) who have explained the psi to me....I'll have to read them all a few times before i fully geddit

Before i worry too much about psi, I'll probably do some of the standard things like....exhaust, blowoff valve, intercooler etc etc, maybe some wheels if I can afford it ;)

It's already a fast car, plenty of time to make it even faster  he he
