Lucky you 'blew' the $...ORANGE?! It ain't the General Lee...not a good colour for a Skyline...but that's just my opinion :D

You're welcome. :)

Harlequin? paint job??

Also I gather the N1GTR is the only Skyline that has normal finish, not a
hardcoat finish.

AH, from your description, sounds like that purple looking finish.
That purple finish seems to be really rare in NZ. Only seen one Skyline
with that purple finish, now two (including yours).

If your car does have that purple looking finish, it seems to be an
aftermarket paint job. I gather only pearl, flat? colours, were a
factory option.

I gather stone chips can be removed, but from what I have read, panel
beaters save time, money by just painting the panel. It seems the
touching up would take weeks to do, if you do each stone chip, one
at a time with undercoat, paint, then the finish, cut and polish.
I gather waiting til it's dry, is what takes the time (I gather that's why
panelbeaters use bakeovens).

There is a protective leather looking cover that you can attach to the
front of the car, called a car bra, that protects paint work from stone
chips.

Orange, maybe a metallic orange. ;)

the orange i liked was on a supra featured on the front page of speed magazine few months ago.....i thought it was hot! i not gonna bother painting my car unless got $$  ($ i had went on dump pipe, plate and fines!   :headbutt: ) , i like the colour it is now, but its just rough..(learning to drive on the gravel not the bESt thing!) ....ment to be studying next year..need get outa my supermarket job!! haha.  i dont live in the country side, i live in a wee town, which has tarcel roads, but my car gets parked on grass, which is now mud from my car sitting there....mummy aint very happy about that!  :hawaii:  yeah i have not seen another car same colour as mine.

It seems orange looks better on a soft shaped car, like an R33 or a Supra.

I gather grass needs sunlight to grow, maybe parking the car in alternative
place might help.

Good luck with your restricted test. :)
