RB Oil pressure sender
« on: January 26, 2006, 05:14:25 PM »

I have transplanted an RB20det into my 180sx.  The CA18det original motor had a single wire oil pressure sender but the RB one has 2.

Anyone know how to connect it up? does the RB one require power?
I think the CA one just works on by switching to earth when there is oil press.
not sure though.

One is to the oil pressure light (dash/dummy light) but on skylines, there is a oil pressure gauge, and a oil pressure light. I forgot which one is which. I believe blue is oil press gauge, yellow is the light? Only one need be connected to the lower harness.

It won't work anyway Moose old son. You need a CA18 sender.. which won't screw into the RB block anyway.

I used the RB30 sender.. but my light plays up so it must need one to match the light. :(
