Spacers are dodgy.

Either get the rack welded up, or buy a lockbar (around $200), fit that, and then remove all the lines/solenoids and fit a 2wd P/S pump.

depends if you wanna get a waarant or not :P

basically the join the hose method is what comes with most of the hicas lock bar systems you can buy off trademe, the thing is that theyre considered high pressure fittings and need such connections, the best way is to bypass it from the pump right up in the engine bay to a cooler or something (or try and find a non hicas P/S pump...good luck with that) and remove the lines completely, helps reduce weight too

There's a bit more to it than just doing that. I don't see why everyone wants to disable it.

Do it right the first time, or don't do it at all is my moto :dfinger:  There have been other threads about this, use the search function to have a look through previous posts.

It Depends, do you wanna be able to get a warrant or not ?

basically the hoses that run into the rear P/S rack are classed as high pressure fittings and warrant people can and if theyre not being lazy Will fail you on just joining up the hoses, the easiest and cheapest way is to get a transmission oil cooler and hook it up to the hicas lines comeing out of your power steering pump up the front then rip out all the hicas lines running to that back
makes it work better and removes weight

hm thats a wicked idea althou wouldn't that drasticly reduce the temp of the fuild ? possibly changing it's viscosity ? as on a street car i can't imagine the power steering fulid geting very hot
