You should post his address anyway dude. If he uses a different name it might stop someone else getting ripped.

That sux guys.
His trademe profile seems a  bit sus. I thought you can get a refund if the parts arent correct. Isnt that a breach of the Fair trading act? If so, he could be in for a very big bill.

On the other hand, maybe he geniunely is busy? I've heard these things happening, and its the seller's fault for not keeping in touch with the customer - which is very poor service.

He says on his profile he is a Welder/Fabricator, so I wonder if he is doing this work through a business... If he is then fair trading act / consumer guarantees act etc come into it which means he wont have a leg to stand on as an auction is essentially a contract!

How long have you been trying to get hold of him? He may be busy but its not hard to return a phone call!

ive got his address as i sent him my 80mm throttle body to mount it to the plenum

would be good to know how long you tried to contact him, maybe he has something come up, if its only a week or so i think he can have a good excuse.

If you need a real fabricator i can recommend Mike at Sinco Customs in Hamilton:

Have had a real bad experience trying to get a hold of him, so wouldn't be suprised if he was intentionally ignoring your calls/emails. Even managed to get thru one time whilst ringing from a private number. I was ringing in regards to the gearbox which was about a week and a couple days late.

He told me the box had been sent, and that he doesn't have the con notes for the shipping and that they were at home (he was at the supermarket). I said ok,  i'll ring back in 15mins to which he agreed. Didn't manage to go thru to him again that night (wouldn't answer), and found out the box hadn't even been in mainfreight's depot at all (verified with mainfreight).

Hope you have better luck that me with your plenum and throttle body. Going courts today so trademe can release his details and then i'll go from there.
