Nissan/Datsun nationals Nov 2010
« on: April 27, 2010, 08:01:18 AM »
Hi guys n gals

Last year the New Zealand 300zx owners club & GTR Elite had an event to celebrate 20years of the Z32 & R32.
One of the key players at Nissan liked the concept & is keen to see it happen again but on a broader scale.

Hampton Downs race park is booked for 20th November 2010 (Sat)
Cost will be $90 per car & will be limited numbers

Sunday we are drag race event at Meremere with a shown n shine etc.

We want this event to be HUGE with magazine coverage, TV coverage, prizes from all over the world etc.

If you are keen to attend please post below
This is the type of event that should drag out the best Nissan & Datsun cars in the country - not to be missed!

Webpage is up and running, entries are coming in fast & advertising is about to kick off with magazine & newspaper coverage.

Don't leave registration too late or you might miss out.

email: info@nizfest.co.nz

http://www.nizfest.co.nz

Track entry information:

Please pay $90 to Westpac account  03 1557 0452260 - 000

Then email info@nizfest.co.nz & provide the following information:
Name
Make of car (Nissan or Datsun ONLY or powered by)
year
model
rego number
cell ph number

Let us know if you would like an afternoon or morning session.

If you do not email us with the above information we may not be able to trace where the money has come from, it may then be declared a donation to Hospice & St Johns - you do not want that if you want to go on the track

Hi guys
The idea at this point is to try & keep everything possible free.

Those who want to go on the track or the strip will obviously have to pay but we will try & make everything else either free or very very cheap.

We don't want to scare people away with huge costs, there will be the opportunity for those with money burning a hole in their pocket to spend up on all sorts of things. BUT we will also ensure there is plenty to do & see without huge amounts of money.

Last year the only part of the actual event that cost any thing was the track day, plenty of guys stayed in cheaper accommodation etc & spent very little all weekend

Hi again guys

We have been working away at planing this & setting up various things to make it all happen.

Just for now I will concentrate on the track side of things for those who are keen.

What we have done is divided the day in to two sessions, a morning & (obviously) an afternoon session.
Each will have three groups of 16 cars, each group will go out on the track for ten minutes at a time.
(We have kept it down to ten minutes as we don't want people frying brakes & tyres etc.)
In doing this we have given up to 96 people the chance to get their car out on the track & have some fun :D
Each car should see around an hour of track time - a fair bit of work for most cars.

Cost is $90 per car, there may be a chance to buy the other session closer to the event if there are spots available but for now at least you have to pick either morn or arvo. We are looking in to running a twilight session through till around 7PM so there may be some more time up for grabs for the super keen :D

At this stage we are very close to having some web pages all set up n running with more information & payment details etc.
If you just can't wait & want to register right away please just fire me a pm or email (nizfest2010@yahoo.co.nz)

Thanks guys
Glenn.

EDIT: oh & please feel free to spread the word to other Nissan/Datsun forums :D

Guys we have confirmed the burnout pad will be up & running for this event!!

If you are keen to get out there & do a few skids etc please let us know, we are thinking of setting the cost at $50 per car for entry in to the burnout comp.
You should be able to have a few goes depending on how things go :)

We are now taking entries for the track spots & are interested in hearing from anyone who may want to run a trade stand at the event.

Entry is free to spectators but be prepared to pay a gold coin donation to Hospice NZ on Sat & St Johns ambulance on Sunday.  Event will be run with an open book policy with any profit to be donated to the charities listed above :)

Please email nizfest2010@yahoo.co.nz for registration & payment information etc (web pages due up very soon) thanks guys.
Glenn.
