crap realibilty on the turbo ejs. they wont make it passed 150000km without a rebuild. sound sick though and go hard but again you also have to think of the engine orientaion of it. its designed for a 4wd or fwd. it would be a mission to do the rwd thing in it and you would prob lose heaps of driveline power. i hear that in a wrx you lose 30% power when you convert to rwd. hence why porsche with boxer engines are mid mounted. you could rotate a 4g63 thought and get good power, respone and reliablity. ive seen it done in drag cars

i would love to see a mark 2 with a rb in it :D, sounds like a good project, would be heaps of fun!,

oh and it would sound mean too :P

III KNOW! I would love to aswell. AArrrgh. Ive got the whole thing planned out in my mind for an RB but i thought i would ask the experts! Cause R23 GTST fims on super low profile tyres would look mint on an esky too i reckon.

Haha its certainly not an engine I'd recommend to anyone. Unless they wanted a large dead weight as a permanent anchor to moor their yacht to
Or it could be a glorified paper weight lol.

Theres always the lil Ca18det, yes its oldish and only 1.8, but its the 4 cyclinder Rb
and they can make some good power and are cheap as.
Other then that if your worried about noise anything 4 cyclinder dont sound right.
4age, twin delloto carbs, high compression rev monster

I was waiting for someone to say 4age. Im turprised it took this long. Nah ive never owned a turbo. And i want a turbo. And i want it to be in the esky. Maybe 4age turbo haha. Been in my mates 4agze turbo converted levin. First of the FWD ones. Crazy. Could be an option. Im still thinking RB cause of the access to cheap parts. Like i dont have alot of money. And if something breaks on it i need to be able to source cheaps parts and do them myself. And RBs are the engine i know the most about.

Do not put a CA18det in,  unless they are mint they over heat like crazy. Dont get me wrong they do go hard but they also over heat like a bitch

Id say fully go for the Rb, but fitting a large engine into a small bay isnt easy and cheap.
