Clutch not disengaging from flywheel
« on: May 08, 2011, 05:39:35 PM »
Just got my neo motor running and went to take it for a spin around the block.

However, with pedal pressed down, requires alot of force to get into gear, and with clutch still pressed down, will take off like my pedals up.

Any ideas? new excedy 5 button.

filled clutch cylinder up as was low a little, didnt help. The lines werent open at all, so shouldnt need a bleed?

thanks.

Get someone to press the pedal and you watch the slave cylinder, see if it is throwing like it should be. Bleed it anyway. I had to after engine/gearbox removal even though I didn't remove the slave cylinder.

just had exact same problem with mine, what push rod are you using and is your clutch pedal bolted up into the car as well as being bolted to the master? if its not bolted up its flexs and doesnt work proberly. could also need to be adjusted at the pedal?

Found this problem ....

clutch fork cracked, meaning the bearing would not sit properly in the fork ...

This would have been from when i assembled the new clutch bearing in place ...

oh well , hopefully fit up a new fork this weekend and get it sorted.
