hks 60 or 50 mm
tail 38mm
turbosmart 38mm

on a prety worked 25det build has gt35.40 etc is 50mm or 60mm to big??

Both options are fine for that setup

The bigger the wastegate the lower the boost you can hold easily.

I would got with a Tial MVR44 mm or a Turbosmart Comp-Gate40 mm or Hyper-Gate45 mm for your setup I would say a 38mm will be a little on the small side depending on how well the wastegate feed on your exhaust manifold is placed
Im getting there slowly at the moment

The bigger the wastegate, the more waste gas you can get out of the exhaust manifold before it gos through the turbo. Wastegate positioning is important as well

EG, 38mm with a GT3540 with a 10psi spring, will sort of control boost at 10psi, but boost will creap till 12-14psi

a 50mm with a GT3540 with a 10psi spring, will easily hold 10psi though to redline.

Just some basic ideas
