« on: September 08, 2011, 03:30:57 PM »
GRR. This is really the satan RB20DET.
I Brought brand new head bolts, oiled them as said, torque'd them up in the correct order first to 30 then 110, when it came to bolt number 4 i torque'd it up and snap! Stuck in block. Grr.

How To Get it out?

Next tool you need to purchase and will use again and again (not suggesting you are going to continue snapping studs...) http://www.bearingandengineering.co.nz/shop/ENGINEERING/Hand+Tools/EZY+OUT+SET+34+-+1+38+WILDE.html
Ezy Outs.

I could do with that tool myself, snapped a bolt fitting the coil packs, it was literally as I was asking my mate how tight I should be doing them up :(

How can you tell what torque setting the bolts have been tightened to? (tool newbie)

I had a headbolt break in the block as I was tightening it.Was 10mm deep and it came out with a screw extractor like so.
