Thanks Ian.

Brett i'm not even angry about this stuff anymore, i'm just so over performance cars now. A part from the race car, I will never own a Skyline or similar type of car.

Took the day off today. Hopefully can bring my worse for wear buddy back home.

Will access the damage and see where I sit with insurance after I send out the paperwork.

I just came back from AMI.

Interior has blood from the theif.

3 of the GTR wheels are ****ed. Brand new Bridgestone tyres + Fully refurbished + Brand new centre caps (I now have a spare set of the used ones if anyone needs them).

Car turns over but dies. When it does hold idle it smokes like crazy. Most likely caused by the hard landing the car suffered. Sump is dented as well from what I can see.

If you think the car doesn't look bad it's because it crashed over a barrier went mid air and landed. Underbody damage is vivid.

I called insurance (CLIC) and since they are part of the AMI group, I will not have first option of purchasing back.

It is up for tender, but to be honest the car is ****ed. Drivetrain will make a very good paperweight.

Say what ... CLIC wont give you 1st bids on buying car back ?? Why the hell not.

Ahh man that sucks to hear.

Did cops take DNA sample from the blood ?

Bugger man! Sounds like it would have been near impossible for him to do more damage to the car than that!

Did they give you any indication of what sort of price they are placing to buy the car?

No price indication.

AMI are going bankrupt. Therefore I believe from what i'm told, they are trying to get as much as they can for damaged vehicles.

Serious though, i'm not sure if i want to buy it back right now. Need to mull over it for a few days.

Hope it gets infected and get like an arm or something removed, hope the police check for people in hospital for a crash around your area.

horse**** it still would have

especially blinded by saying good security and then just naming a brand tells me youre basing that statement on nothing

even a high end (and personally i dont think mongoose is) brand installed poorly is as good as a cheap nasty installed well

regardless, if they wanted his car an alarm wouldnt stop them

Yep, have a chat to someone like Obessive vehicle security, and you'd probably never touch any well known NZ brand alarm again. Some of their 5 star systems are passable apparently, but still pretty shocking in terms of value/quality for money.

Also Stalker is right, an alarm is only as good as it's installer.

Ok, so as some of you have seen in the Noisy Pink Bubbles there's been a minor update.

I've made a report with the police, with their name and photos of them unlawfully taking my vehicle.

I have also informed CLIC insurance about the situation. If the police do decide to proceed with laying charges, the insurance will find means to get the money they lost an will refund my excess.

Anyway, CLIC have made a single exception in allowing me to buy back the vehicle which i'm sitting on the fence at the moment.

So if there's enough interest for R34 Sedan parts (Check link below), I will buy the car back.
