I'm sure Rob from R.I.P.S must have some input here regarding the N1 pump?
If cost is no issue, have you considered a dry sump setup?

I'm assuming since you're going all out as it seems, don't forget over-sized valves xD

get a crank collar installed and and a n1 pump would be sweet

neo heads arent the best for a 30det valves are smaller and they oil galleries are a different layout and need modding

I cant remember where the thread is, but im sure ive heard some bad things about them too, IIRC the member was even saying they would never use one in any of the cars they built, because i think he worked or owned a workshop or something.

N1 pumps are suppose to crap out. I use one on my car and ive had no issues. If ur going to do a spool kit dont waste ur time and do a rb34.

I also run a spool head drain, bloody good piece of gear but you could get 1 made for cheaper

Know a few people running n1 pumps and no issues.
As long as it's genuine I can see no issue.

Stock N1 oilpump gears are known to crack on racetrack. It's due to metallurgy of the metal of stock N1 gears. Can fit upgraded gears to N1 oilpump with better metallurgy, but isn't cheap.

Nengun sell the upgraded gears for N1 oilpump, so contact them -

If have the $$$, tuner pumps are better.

Another option outside Japan is Nitto oilpump, crank collar -

Been over this process recently, people have done the n1 name no good because they are looking for a cheap fix or build. You will find a tone of people that buy a n1 pump and don't do the research on what else needs to be done, it's simple and obvious if you look at the drive on the end of the crank how small the surface area is. Yet when you take a look inside the pump the drive surface is massive, if you don't machine your crank and fit a crank collar the n1 pump will definitely break.

Do the job once and do the job right if you have a lot of dosh saved up, by all means go nuts and buy a $2000 oil pump. But sh1tting on the name without real facts of why they break or without a understanding the logistics of why they break, isn't the way we should be doing things around here/

Simple as this:
1. If you want some peace of mind, buy a real expensive oil pump (even still you will need to machine your crank for a collar)
2. research it and get your crank machined to fit a collar, this will increase the life of the pump severely. The same issue is outstanding on the rb30,rb20,rb25 (non Neo),the rb26 r32 version has the same problems, this was corrected in the r33 and r34 models.

Don't let people tell you that a 1992 r32 gtr crank came with the correct drive surface because it didn't no matter what year r32 gtr is. Stalker should be able to put a picture up of what the problem is and the main reason for people paying out the n1 oil pump.

no no no, the shattering problem is nothing to do with the snout drive, the gear itself shatters because of as has been said poor metallurgy and harmonics

sure the snout definitely needs to be done and probably doesnt help the situation, but its not the cause
