Front diff breather
« on: May 06, 2012, 02:17:01 PM »
Anyone know where the front diff breather goes on my RB30/25? Just changed the oil filter and managed to dislodge the breather hose that comes from the front diff and also the wire for the oil pressure warning light! Off now to buy a small mirror as I can't see much under my FF plenum (can't wait to install my oil cooler/filter relocation kit!)

Directions relative to the oil filter would be handy!
Thanks.

Hey Bob

Just had a quick look on my car, my front diff oil breather goes to a clip on the engine loom that is bolted to the underside of the intake runners. It sits about the same height as the fuel filter and damper. The clip is on the loom just above the oil filter and towards the firewall about 10 to 15mm.

I will try and find a pic of it if i can.

Ok so you're saying it doesn't really go anywhere it just vents to the air?
So it just needs to be secured so it doesn't float around.
Thanks!

the wire should go to the oil pressure sender shouldnt it?
its maybe 200mm down and to the left of your oil filter. just under the starter motor. i think :)

my GTR one just goes to atmosphere.  Runs up and curves around so oil won't surge up there under G-force, but no suction or re-breath etc.  Just and open hose.
I wouldn\'t have road rage if morons didn\'t have drivers licences!

Yep I know where the oil pressure wire is meant to go just need a mirror to find it!
Couldn't remenber about the diff breather though - good to know its just venting.
