RB25de wont pull on full throttle

put your foot down gently and it pulls smoothly but has no real topend power, floor it and it just does nothing and actually slows down till you lift off, whats the first things to check? TPS, AFM? its not missing that I can hear or feel, just gutless as, any clues? did a few kms on the open road and runs 100kph smooth and not chugging fuel down or any other symtoms I'v noticed

Could be ECU pulling ignition timing and running richer due to knock, which makes engine feel very flat in midrange to close to topend.

If engine is knocking, check ECU for error codes, then check fuelpressure to rule out fuelpump failure (also check wiring to fuelpump), clogged fuelfilter and check sparkplugs (correct heatrange and gap). If they are ok, check for gasket leaks on exhaust, intake side.

TPS prevents engine going suddenly lean and hesitating before accelerating.

AFM might be a cause if dirty. Clean with CRC MAF cleaner.
