oh nice idea :)

GETLOW on this forum is doing the same with his R33

Any reason why you chose the 1jz over the 2jz ?

That's the plan, but a 1jz-gte engine.

Splitter is being replaced for a standard carbon fiber version :)

really like the sound of that idea, rekon will set the whole thing off.  To my eye the current splitter is a bit square to the rest the car.  Factry rounder one will flow mint.  Congrats with the car, it does look really awesome,

Thanks, I have a Nismo front splitter coming over the pond but will take 2 months to get here. How can I wait that long?

Just if you've ordered the nismo front diffuser, you'll still need to track down the factory lip for it to connect to.  Or maybe you already have that?

Toyota engine is much more reliable at 500bhp and not many mods to reach that figure.

well rb26 needs exhaust, turbo, ecu, air intake and there´s 450bhp easily without any other mods needed. oh and fuel pump and clutch.

total cost under 4000€. including engine.

reliable is stock nonturbo engine :)

You're are probably right, but I can imagine after time I will get the power bug and want more. I am forever seeing peoples threads on forums, saying their RB25/26 has gone bang after searching for big power.

From what I understand, the Toyota engines (Supra) have all the good parts at factory from TRD. That's why they can produce more hp without blowing up. N1 RB26 or Nismo built engine probably would be the equivalent.
