Having TPS trouble
« on: April 29, 2014, 05:04:53 PM »
I've been trying to configure my TPS for awhile now but still can't get it! I know that the plug on the tail with 3 wires is the one I need to set. I know one is earth, one is your constant 5v which I can read & the middle is the one I need to set to 0.45v-4.5v.

All the connections have been lengthened obviously for front facing plenum & soldered properly. With unplugging the sensor & checking the Ohms between wire I need to set & constant 5v & turning the internal half moon sensor, the readings willl change accordingly so I know the TPS is working.

Whenever I try to read a voltage from the middle wire either plugged in or out I only ever get a reading of 0.1. So I can't put my finger on why I can't set it?

set it with it plugged in test on the lowest dc volt scale on your meter to ground. ign needs to be on but best to set while running.

Have you wired the link up? If not dont waste your time when its wired up you can callibrate it with the tuning software.

Just PMd you before about that adapter so I won't need to fit the TPS? Or just that one plug on TPS?

fit it is fine. but you will only need the plug thats on the little piece of wire for the link. Unless you decide to use the other plug for a switch to control launch control input etc.

The one on the little piece of cable sepperate from the unit its self is the tps. just bolt it on any where and when your link is in you can use the tuning software to set it and callibrate the 0-%100 sweep. its easy dont muck around with a meter now cos it'll change.
