damned fine idea!  Bit of friendly rivally, and we should organise the BBQ for after that one for sure.  I'll be in as the first to say aye to the event and second that motion of another car club, other options could be Nizan or Toyspeed.  They had a few carts there that would suit those Nizan gals/guys, Jon and myself got one of them in the second race, as most on the day will remember :-)  Everywhere we went it was sideways he he he.

Great idea, Greg! I B Definitely in, and now that I'm not quite as slow as the first time, I won't be an immense liability, so I won't feel guilty about racing for SDU.

Spectre, sorry to hear about your face, man. :( :( Hope the SRT is back for the rematch.

Cool

I have emailed Big Phil, to see if the Silvia guys will be keen. We will see how much interest we get from them. We can also bring a 3rd club in also, eg Nizan. But I thought we would start with our brother, the Silvia.

:)

yeah pics....there must be some side profile shots of me out there somewhere :-)

Kenny, you didn't do that bad dude, it's all good and hugely dependent on the car you get each time.  They are supposed to be set up very similar but we know better now eh.  Win or lose it doesn't really matter anyway (my opinion)  just get out there and do it!  I think if we organsie such a club vs club event we should have three per team at least, that way we can at least have really fast competive pit changeovers :-)  that'll be where you really win and lose the race, in your teams organisation at pits.

We could have practice pit drills in the weeks leading up to the event....hang on, getting far too carried away again ;-)

I'm keen as a bean what ever the arrangement.

Tony,  yeah, if you could try to avoid french kissing pallet shelves, beams, doors or anything else that could be hazzardous to your body before the event it would be beneficial :-)  I know I know, it does mean you're going to have to put your pervertions aside for a little bit, but comeon man it's for the good of the club!  Hehe

I would be keen to race... I had a few reasonable times that I would like to improve on.

As for the idea of some pit drills, probably not a stupid idea as changing drivers does take a while!

Cool

Well, I have tried to get the Silvia club interested but have had no reply, so we'll forget them, useless bunch :o

So, I am going to try Toyspeed and Nizan drift club next.

Hey, if no Japanese car club is gonna be interested, I do know who to contact that WILL race us, that's the Holden club, but hell, I think we're getting desperate if we need to contact them.

I'll keep trying :)

OK you silvia boys, for arriving to class late, I want you all to do 100 push ups.

Just kidding.

No worries lads, I have the Toyspeed club interested also (well I hope they still are  ), so we'll make it a 3 club event OK, how's that sound :)

Here's a rough idea of what we'll be in for:

(This will vary depending on numbers of people attending)

This is based on 3 clubs, 9 racers from each club

- 2 races, each one 60 laps
- each driver does a 20 lap session (or there abouts) per race
- pit stops for driver changes
- cost $20 per race ($40 total)
- each club will have 3 teams of 3 people

:)

Any questions ???
:p :p
