General Skyline Discussion / Wires going to my rearview mirror
« on: September 04, 2017, 12:42:07 AM »
Just wondering what the wires are for, going into the rearview mirror.
Will it have a light or temperature sensor in it?

I think you shld pass your current baby on to somebody who has just learnt to appreciate what you got, and thrown your passion into something new.  Thats just my opinion, but there are a lot of factors you need to take into account before just tacking on some turbos.

General Skyline Discussion / Re: 370GT How to set the time?

Ok it seems that the nav unit has it's time fixed to a Japanese timezone, not sure where it gets the time update, maybe from the GPS signal?
So the only solution I could find was to turn off the time display on the LCD screen.

General Skyline Discussion / 370GT How to set the time?
« on: August 11, 2017, 10:09:24 PM »
I have found the google translator on my phone does a fairly good job for finding my way around the menus on my touch-screen, but I cannot work out how to set the time.  There is a 'offset' setting which offsets the minutes from -59 to +59, no idea what that is about, an option to show the time in 24 hour format, and an option to show the time or not.

Anybody with a 370GT or similar who has worked out how to change the settings?

Hi all.  I have had 2 Fairladys over the past 18 years, both Z32 twin turbo.  Loved the Z dearly but the list of things to fix or replace was getting longer instead of shorter.  So today I bought a 2010 Skyline 370GT coupe, fresh off the boat.

The first thing I am investigating, of course, is the Japanese entertainment unit, which it appears I can't simply replace, it looks like a firmware update is required.  A short search session has turned up lots of people asking for a solution, but not an excess of answers.  So what are my chances of getting this updated to English, with or without NZ maps?

Are there many events or drives happening in Waikato?  I have seen some nice skylines driving around town.

Les.
