Announcements / SDU AGM 2015
« on: November 08, 2015, 09:48:35 PM »
Greetings everyone

well another AGM has been and gone now and what a great day it was, who could beat fish and chips lake side in Taupo on a clear sunny day, thanks for the sunburn Mr sun!

While the minutes and such will follow in due course I wanted to put my own post up now to advise all the wonderful members of a change that has happened, and that is I have stepped down as the president of SDU and am now just a committee member for the club. This has come about due to changes in my life that has stopped me from putting in what i believe is required to keep SDU a thriving club, work, family, children and so forth.

I wish to thank deeply the people who have supported me and have helped be the back bone of SDU in the rough times and a special thank you goes out to Koschak for his help and dedication that he always has put into the club!

I am sure our new president will Introduce himself shortly and I look forward to working with him to lift SDU up again!

Thanks everyone

Regards
Tony

Suspension, Steering, Braking, Wheels & Tyres / R34 GTT issues
« on: October 05, 2013, 09:01:19 PM »
Looking for some help here guys

Background:
Fitted mags and tyres in Dec 2012
Fitted adjustable suspension parts in Feb 2013

Had wheel alignment done in Feb 2013
Settings were for the rear:
Camber: L=-1.31deg & R=-1.25deg
Toe: L=+1.3mm & R=+1.3mm
everything was tight and no issues.

Now i failed a WOF on 2 Rear tyres so naturally i took it back thinking the tyres were faulty but we through it on the machine and found that it was not the tyres but the alignment for the rear had changed, so had to bite the bullet and fit 2 new tyres and get a alignment.

28/9/13
Sep settings after tyres fitted but before adjustment:
Camber: L=-2.33deg & R=-2.06deg
Toe: L=+3.8mm & R=+2.6mm
After Adjustment:
Camber: L=-0.58deg & R=-0.59deg
Toe: L=+0.9mm & R=+1.4mm

So after this i ended up needing to fit front caster arms (fitted on 2/10/13)
and naturally it needed a wheel alignment again, so in it went today (5/10/13)
now this is where it gets messed up.......
7 Days and driving 200ks these were the settings

5/10/13
Oct settings before adjustment:
Camber: L=-0.22deg & R=-1.04deg
Toe: L=+0.1mm & R=+3.6mm
After Adjustment:
Camber: L=-0.23deg & R=-1.02deg
Toe: L=-1.2mm & R=+1.3mm

So as you can see something is not right and we are all 100% lost as to why in both occasions and mainly in 7days the settings are WAY out....we think it has something to do with the HI-CAS but dont know why as we make sure its all fine and neutral before we start.

can anyone offer any help regarding this???
I simply can not afford new tyres all the time due to the settings changing all the time.

and before anyone pipes up i DO NOT want to fit a lock bar...end of story.

Cheers :)

General Skyline Discussion / Silicon Hose Kits
« on: December 05, 2012, 07:43:10 PM »
Hey Guys

im going to be ordering a Silicone Breather Hose Kit for my R34 GTT and thought i would see if anyone else wants anything while im at it.
as if yours is like mine, hard and brittle, when i took off the rubber ones on the cam covers they cracked and now leak.......

i can get
Raidator hoses for:
R33/R34 GTR (2 Hoses)
R33 GTS25T (2 Hoses)
R34 GTT (2 Hoses)
(R32 GTST and GTR are not listed but maybe R33/R34 GTR kit will fit the R32 GTR, but not the GTST)

Induction hoses for:
R32/R33/R34 GTR (2 Hoses)
R33 GTS25T (1 Hose)
R34 GTT (1 Hose)

Heater Hose Kits:
R33/R34 GTR (4 Hoses)
R32 GTST (3 Hoses)
R33 GTS25T (4 Hoses)

Breather Hose Kits:
R34 GTR (3 Hoses)
R32 GTST (8 Hoses)
R33 GTS25T (6 Hoses)
R34 GTT (7 Hoses)

These are all HIGH quality Silicon

im sure some of the bits cross over to other models, like the R33 GTS25T Heater hose kit fits the R34 GTT, but im not 100%

let me know what your after and ill price it, many colours available too not just the blue, black or red, you can get orange, green, yellow, pink, purple, RS Green, and ST Tangerine.

Cheers

General Skyline Discussion / Nistune!!!!
« on: October 16, 2012, 01:55:22 PM »
Hey everyone

I am going to be getting a Nistune for my new car and i have spoken with Nistune is Australia and they are offering a group buy discount if people are interested.

Searching SAU and such sites and Talking with Dave at Dtech Motorsport Nistune is very good bang for buck and keeps the factory ecu in place so still gives you all the +'s of the factory startup and also keeps the auto running so you can retune and get more power from your auto cars.

Check out http://www.nistune.com

These are whats on offer
Type 2 Board: http://www.nistune.com/equipment-products-type2.php

and Type 4 Board: http://www.nistune.com/equipment-products-type4.php

If you would like it fitted i am happy to do this for you also, we can talk about that later, i will be fitting mine myself.

Let me know who would be interested in this guys :)
