GENERAL INFORMATION
RULES FOR OPEN CARS
All open cars (i.e. soft top convertibles) must have roll protection, either factory fitted such as: Boxter, S2000, Z3, Z4, 350z, 370z & Elise etc. or suitable aftermarket roll protection if it is not factory fitted. If unsure please ask.
 
HOW TO ENTER AN EVENT

Thanks. I'm not sure if any cut/ weld suspension components can be certed. Saying that, Gktech has a full bolt in knuckle. Not cut and shut. But there are certain guidelines about altering suspension geometry in the cert process, I'm sure. But for me, drift knuckle set up / angle mods is a track only mod.

Also it helps to weld in plates on each side to fill in the big gap left from moving the rack forward helping to gain back any rigidity lost.

With it all square and tacked up. Lay as nice a weld as you can on the top side and bottom side.

Now to fire up the old trusty mig. You can use whatever welding method you want. I only have access to a mig. Also don't forget to clean the paint off the welding area. Because that can infect and make your welds look disgusting.

1st half of the cutting process done. Next step is to remove the 25mm gap I've marked, sit together and trace and trim accordingly.
