Hi people,

My auto skyline has Snow and Power function.
I understand Snow setting will start the car in 2nd gear
to minimise slipage on icy/snowy surface.

About the Power, does it actually make the gearbox
shift at higher rev?

Well when you out on snow, car will start in 2nd gear so car does not loose traction in snow or heavy rain icq etc...etc.

Power light comes on when the car is on full throttle... when I drive it's always on :D

I hope this helps

Cheers
Joe

Snow starts the car in 2nd, and will hold on to 3rd or 4th also, ie takes a lot more pressure on the peddle to chop down a gear.
Power holds the gear to higher thru the rev range when accelerating. If left in the middle, then it is automatic, ie if ya nail it, it changes to power mode.

Will snow mode actually conserve fuel?  Considering your not able to use the whole power range.
