Hello I think this may be my first post here but lets give it a go.  My question is when the new GTR comes out in the states does anyone think that the market for the R34 or R33 for that matter still be there?
Just something I was thinking of. Thanks.

Hi, welcome to the forums. :)

I think there will be a market, as they will probably have the same
desirability as the first Skyline GTR, etc. I guess they will be a
classic car.

The R32GTR is the legend of those 3 generations. Being the fastest
4wd in the world on the dragstrip and winning 29 out of 29 races
on the racetrack (Group-A) and being the first GTR to lap 25sec
faster than a Porsche at Nurburgring. Could of lapped faster if it
didn't overheat. And I think finished 1st, 2nd at the Nurburgring
24 hour in 1991 and 2nd, 3rd the year before in 1990.

I think the R34 finished 5th in the Nurburgring 24 hour and from
what I have read, was using the same motor as used in the
R34 GT500 racecar in Japan. This engine was the RB28, as
used in Nissan's Lemans R33GTR.

I think that the market for those cars will definitely be there. The difference mainly being that the new GTR will be nothing like its ancestors. Besides having a price tag of over $72,000 (estimated), I can't see anyone jumping into one without weighing out their options of owning a true "skyline". Plus, the concept car looks like sh1t in my opinion.

I agree, the front looks awful, rear is ok. However, I'd rather pick from '08 Camaro and '08 Challenger - both are so good-looking cars. And yeah, GTR being a totally diff. car - American muscle gets my vote (plus the price is going to be so much cheaper). Just something to think about.
