I thought you were going to fit the smaller 16" 8.5J front and 16" 9.5J rear Watanabe style rims with the flared guards.

Hey nick,

im jealous lol your hard work and patience is paying off man. engine bay looks grand, stick with the sport max but id probably spray the centers dark bronze as the gold looks odd...thats if you were thinking of the gold centers.

watanabes are too hard to find but id love a set of dished ones....dosent that place in palmy arrow wheels make them to your specs? could be $$$ tho
Regards,
Lonnie

I saw some Watanabes on a modified white turbocharged R30 in Japan that was for sale and was with the same flares.

Only differences is your car above has side skirts and a red paint job that would suit the gun metallic looking Watanabe rims.

Can buy a set off Watanabe rims on Ebay -

Or the Nico forums -

As you probably already know they were made by Rays Engineering in Japan. They make the Nismo wheels, etc.

I like those wheels, classy but classic looking. :)

It's either the red inner (maybe powdercoated to match red paint job) or black inner, similar to the AE86 in the link above.

It's fun to restore and powerup an old school car.

There is the old school GTR's like KPGC10 Skyline but they cost alot, unless they are replica's (looks like it has Watanabe rims)-

Nick knows who to talk to if he wants some Watanabes, eh ;)

like I said on MSN, those flares really complement the sideskirts and vice versa.

the rest... well, you already know what I think :D

Id love them. money permits now :(. IF i could get them in 17 x 10 and 17x9 id be really happy.. maybe id have to settle with 16's :)

I still think the sm962's would suit it well also.

Lonnie, those would be the Konig rewinds?
4x114.3, 15x7, ZERO offset, or 4x114.3, 15x7, -9 offset... grouse!
