Custom vacuum box to feed each cylinder, brake booster, MAP, BOV etc:

With the exception of 6 coil -> plug leads, engine and engine bay fully rewired (yes, it is all there... :)  ):

Now to finish behind the instrument panel etc...

Looking sharp! Can I ask where you got the sleeved 0 (4?) gauge cable to relocate the battery from the engine bay as I'm on the hunt for some.

It is normal 0GA cable with a special sleeving that looks pretty. We all call it Bling Bling Conduit :P

You can get in NZ for like $20 a metre, so I bring it in in bulk from the USA as it's half the price. I am doing another bulk order in a month or so.

So it's just stranded power cable - basically the stuff you use for stereo setups? How does that handle extended periods of cranking the engine over? I was under the impression you should use something with larger strands (such as welding cable) when placing the battery so far away from the starter (not saying that is correct I'm just trying to learn something here!)

The cable i used is proper 70mm2 power cable, designed for 400v plus.
with a direct 4 gauge feed to starter motor from battery.

Audio setups will draw just as much, if not more in some cases than a starter motor will, so there is no problem running audio cable.

Good to know, I've got plenty of 4 gauge stuff lying around from old audio setups to use.

The kicker distribution blocks look good, do you run a (kicker?) circuit breaker down by the battery or fused?

Fuses. No circuit breakers.

But fuse for what?

And the smaller the strands withing the cross section the better the cable. With the exception of 1 SOLID core, the smaller diameter the inner strands that make the core are, the less void space you have, hence more metal.

I normally fuse amp setups in case of a short as you're running a constantly live wire the length of the car so figured it'd be the same for relocating a battery.

There is a main fuse at the front for the feed from the alternator to the battery. Every system also has it's own fusing. Only the starter does not, but it is triple insulated.

I chose Mr P to do the wiring cause he's damn good and very very fussy and maticulous.
Everything he does is over engineered
