haha nah man, the poor shell and parts are still sitting around. It got put on hold for the past year and half as i built a house done a bit of travelling. Now the family and I are settling down and sorting bills out from month to month, i can start putting money aside for it.

Had to buy a new family wagon so we got a M35 stagea, which i had to spend a bit of time fixing up once i brought it. But happy with how that is and its the Mrs car now.

I really want to test my gearbox conversion out asap, and produce a few plates to sell off and bring in some coin for my S13, so will be doing final R&D with a mates RB25 S13. then i have a few guaranteed sales for plates al ready.

Been holding out for an update for years mate. Was wondering if something had happened to you or something, as the last time contact was made was about a cage.

Can't wait to see you get back on your feet and show us more of your skills. Got any pictures of the m35?

yeah man still no updates, been wanting some myself for awhile. But just had a bit more on my plate with family. Still want to get things sorted, like getting the motor back together.

The M35 is nothing special. picked it up for $1500 spent $1000 on it so its good bang for buck at the moment. Got some lowering springs for it, and might space the wheels out a little. but nothing to much planned for it.

Yeah im so close. I brought myself a drive shaft yoke the other week, so need to get that made up to suit.

I'm thinking about just buying a motor for the mean time, 20det maybe. and just bolt, plumb and wire it in basically and just have some fun with the car while i still put $ aside to complete the 26 and construct the cage.

Just cause a RB will bolt directly in the place with the gearbox/driveshaft and adaptor plate.

Ideally you should stick to your guns mate. Hold off on buying anything unnecessary and doing the work twice over. Brad advised that it takes quite a bit of extra time to bend up a cage. It's much easier to just buy a $500 kit and weld the sucker in, as apposed to spending some serious coin and bending up your own steal.

He could still do it for you, but it will cost you a **** load more in labor & materials. Sell off your steal and buy the $500 kit. Normally they are 700, but he can get them for 540 incl shipping. You're looking at give or take 12 hours to complete the cage, and have it all dressed up nicely.

high km, ex company car. The mechanic informed the guy to scrap metal it as it isnt worth anything, so i quickly got in on it from trademe.

i think a lot of them are starting to get the problem this car has had with cam chain stretch and vct faults and everything. cause you see the odd one around 4-5k with slightly high km.
