RB20DET Laurel Wiring r32 loom to laurel
« on: May 07, 2012, 10:09:46 AM »
Hey Guys, Brought a Factory DET laurel body a few weeks back. had a 20det laying round that i built up to put in it, just a few bolt on mods nothing major, top mount turbo ffp that sort of thing, I've got the engine in now but the engine is out of a R32 Skyline, the Loom seems to be different to the laurel plugs. Does anyone know the quickest and most cost effective way of getting round the problem?

thank you

Most cost effective is to get  both cars ecu pin outs and re wire inside car. Not a huge major to do. Laurels and cefiros run a diffrent engine loom to the r32's

quick fix is to find a R32 loom and then swap the plugs in the engine bay that don't fit.

otherwise as stated find the engine loom to suit and then rewire the dash loom into it.
