Ideas for cruise on Sunday 3rd June
« on: May 09, 2012, 02:38:14 PM »
Ok guys so we're organising a cruise for the 3rd of June. One idea was we meet up at westgate shopping mall and then cruise the back roads up to helensville and round to orewa and back. Which should be around 1-1.5hrs/70ks all up

Another idea was drive to flip 'n' bear pancakes.

Around 2 hours/167km from auckland CBD to there

What do you reckon?
I'll close polling on the 14th :)

Ah yeah I know flip and bear was done just recently, just the suggestion of another member :)

I think that settles it though, we'll probably do the West cruise for now, plenty more opportunities later on. Cheers for the heads up Bender

I'll be keen for a local cruise!
There are bound to be a few places we can stop at along the way if we "modify" the route a little bit - Wenderholm, Puhoi, Warkworth (for it's driving range, baseball, air rifle etc) just to give a few ideas :)

I know, I love it there :D
The guy usually gives me extra golf balls when I buy 100 lol
Late last year I tried to organise an impromptu sdu meet to head up there but there just wasn't enough notice to get numbers

We should make a plan for it? I know it's not everyone's cup of tea but I'll be going down plenty anyway. Who knows who else could be keen.
