Importing to the UK
« on: April 26, 2013, 01:28:56 AM »
Anyone know about importing to the UK?  There is a real chance I could be here for abit longer than expected.

I know they have strict emissions rules so I am thinking will need a new high flow cat?

what else is required?

Any ideas or facts be much appreciated.  I have had the car for 2 years so that side of thing should be ok.

Its cheaper to bring stuff back then take it there your looking about 2-4k for a 20foot container and itll take anywhere from 3-6months depending on customs and who you ship with

Not 100% sure on how youd get it registored over there tho

(price was from back in 2009 so may have changed I also get corporate rates)

Go on driftworks and search importing. I'm pretty sure you import whatever you like over there. Not sure on the cost though.

Its all good information - for a personal car like mine who has owned it for sometime it seems to be alot easier. I bet I do need to get a new CAT at the very least since I do not have one that works right now.
