would pay to ring around (im from chch originally so not sure who does what up here haha) but below are some of your options:

Factory shocks with upgraded springs - brands like King Springs, Dobi, do both a low and super low option from memory Low wll lower it about 20mm and the super low about 40-45mm

or you can have your shocks shortened and factory springs compressed,

maybe have a look on trademe see if anyone is selling any suspension with lowered springs already in them :)

for example here are some rears, wouldnt be any more than 30 buks i think to send it up, then you just need to find some fronts,

Okay sweet mate so i could just get super lows put on my currents factory shocks?

would that be the cheapest option or is it cheaper to buy some r32 shocks with super lows already on?

ARRRHHH THUUURRRTYYY ONNNEEEE

- Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car
- Oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car
- Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall
- Torque is how far you take the wall with you.

Yes you can, plus factor for this is you know that you are definitely getting "super lows" but con is that it may cost a little more

and pros for this Trademe option is that you will probably pick them up cheaper but the con is that you have no gauruntee that it is actually a "super low" may only be a "low" just depends on the sort of person you are buying them off,

Okay sweet mate so i could just get super lows put on my currents factory shocks?

Factory shocks have usually had it after 30,000km. Probably due for replacement (As far as I know they are made by KYB, so can replace with KYB shocks that are fairly cheapish) that would improve handling, grip, etc.

Too low on factory shocks can make it hit the bump stop under top hat (top part of shock that bolts to chassis) and start to leak at top of shock body. Also they are not valved to suit lower springs, so don't work properly to control the expanding, contracting of spring. Worn shocks or incorrect shocks for springs can affect braking distance, acceleration, grip (could be worse than factory).

Main problems with factory setup is the bushes, shocks, joints, etc are worn out that causes excessive bodyroll. Those should be the first things to replace if car has done high km and haven't been replaced. It should drive like new once you have replaced those parts.

Best option would be to replace the shocks, bushes, joints if have play, etc.
