This is why there are no clean C33s in NZ. Please keep it tidy!

Don't worry, I drive like an old man and like to look after my cars.

This car will never be raced, drifted or modified in any way apart from replacement stereo system.

Here's my other car, this should prove how I like to keep them clean :)

Damn that's clean haha. How long was your agent/friend searching for to find one like this? Curious as to see whether these are getting harder to find in japan

Took me 4 months to find it.  This was the 4th car I've had my friend bid on for me.  I check the cars myself on http://www.ibcjapan.co.jp.  You need to sign up, then click Auctions In Japan.  Then I would choose any car 1992 or older, auction grade 4.0 or higher.

Previously I bid on a Y32 Cedric, Supra, Leopard.  Some cool stuff comes up, right now I can see a R30 2.0 turbo 5 speed coupe (auction 75622316), it's grade 3.5 but that's not bad for a 1985.

Auction 75639583 is a grade 4.0 1990 R32 GTS-T coupe, 5 speed, 46,000km!

There's currently one laurel listed but it's grade 0 so there must be some major defect.

Thanks for the info. so you can import any car as long as it's over 20 years old and not have to apply for SIV?

Will definitely bookmark that link for the future, was thinking of seeing how much it would be to import a mint condition S13. Hardly any left in NZ apart from this one > http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/nissan/auction-647897664.htm.
Would love to have it, though I don't exactly have $15,000 to spend :c

Well so far so good.  Car needs 2 radius rod bushes, engine bay rust repaired and it seems to be missing the rear number place lights.  Going to pick a part tomorrow, hopefully these lights are somewhat generic with other Nissans from that time.

Interior panels and inner guards were removed and inspected and it looks great.  Still has to go up on a hoist for proper under-body inspection and have brakes measured.  Fingers crossed!

It's a bit hard to find time to get the car fixed up thanks to work and life etc, but hopefully I have it complied in a another 2 or 3 weeks :D

Love the car, Love the doily looking seat covers and really love the back lit number plate holders..

Well done mate, some people appreciate a highly moded car an others appreciate a perfect example of something. I hope you hold on to it for a long time.

The doily seat covers have been put through the wash and are now back in the car, rest of the interior has been properly cleaned with a carpet shampoo machine.  Looks very grandpa spec :)

Not sure if I'll keep it or not tbh, some very cool stuff comes up on the auction sites and I'm itching to pull the trigger again.

Anyway the radius rod bushes have been replaced, rust will be fixed on Sunday (it's only small surface rust around the battery tray, just a wire-brush + paint type of job) so compliance could be next week :O

What else have you been looking at on the auctions?
Current Rides:
1996 R33 GTS25-T
1990 E39A VR4 EVO 0

Nothing better than the feeling of hitting boost.......................and still thinking you have control!!

You won't be able to see them unless you create an account, so by the time you do that you might as well look for yourself

- create account at http://www.ibcjapan.co.jp
- sign in
- click Auctions In Japan (so you are browsing all auctions, not IBC's own stock of modern boring cars).
- In the search options, put 1993 as the maximum year and make the grade selection 4.0 to 5.0.  There's no point importing anything less.  Of course if you just want to view cool cars then choose all grades.  Some of the ****ed ones still look pretty good.
