« on: April 03, 2014, 03:30:38 AM »
Bought a new r34 Neo6 gearbox from RHD for my s30 260z with rb26. I want to start off with the best gear oil possible.  Any advice please??  Thanks

Did it come with oil in it? If so it should be a "break in" oil but in any case drop it after about 1000 miles. If not look for some "break in" oil or a mineral 75W 90 and drop it after 1000 miles. Don't double de-clutch - push the gear changes through using the synchros.  Then refill with a quality synthetic say Motul Gear 300 75W 90 and continue to make full use of the synchros for the next 10 000 to help them bed in.

Thanks for the info!  It is shipped dry so I'd like to buy and apply the best break in lube possible.
