Hey everyone,
need to know how to do a service on a auto box in a s1 rs4.

need a full parts list and guide on what to do.

If you mean oil change you may not need any parts. You can buy a kit with a gasket and a filter but I found I could re-use the gasket and the filter is metal so you can just wash it with petrol or such like. You will need 12or so litres of atf - I just managed to find some Fuchs semi-synthetic in a 20 litre container.

The process is as follows:

If you want to do it yourself you need to dump the pan and clean it. Remove the filter, clean it and put it back. Refill through the dipstick. Then disconnect a line to the trans oil cooler and run it into  a 2Litre container. Run the engine till the container is full then put 2L down the dipstick tube and run the engine to pump out another 2L . Repeat until the fluid comes out clean and fill to the correct level.

cheers man.

do i have to heat it up to running temp before dropping it? also do i need to run it through all the gears when im dumping the oil?

No and no although any oil flows more freely when it is warm.

Do it in N but run up and down the range when you are finally topping it up.
