Ok all you SDU GT2 nutters. We are going to be doing a GT2 tournament this winter coming. This is not a single day event but a fullon season if you will. I have talked with a few of you and so far this is what we have.

1. Full points type of racing season based on your finish for each race.

2. Multi day - The racing will be held over a minimum of 6 GT2 day/nights. The day will most likely be a Saturday starting at like 4 pm until ?

3. A website with a full leader board and also a hard copy for those racing.

4. 3-4 different skill levels ranging from beginner through to Pro.

5. We are looking to providing a Trophy of some kind for the overall winner in each class.

6. A BBQ will be provided but it will be a BYO formate :)

There will be an announced meeting in the future and a full website which should go up in the next week or so. You can also email me or post here.

you could like have an auckland series and a wellington series and have the winners of each play off in a grudge match at the end of the season :)

pity we can't do stuff like that in Ozz :)

True. Same rules should be made up.
Classes: Race spec GTR, modified GTR (no race body), Race spec GTSt/4, modified GTSt/4 (no race body), stock....... (just some ideas)
Perhaps horsepower limited classes as well, and set tracks. Also, times must be recorded while doing a normal race against the Computer..............

Ant:skulls:

better start getting some practice in then huh???

Hey on the first page it says this

"There are 4 different skill levels which the drivers are separated into. Pro, expert, seasoned, and intermediate. Each of the levels will have certain cars which they can choose from."

In the leader board page it doesn't have seasoned but does have beginner... which is correct???

I was trying to find a better or more polite way of putting beginner. Check the site out again later as I will endevour to make up my mind lol. No actually I had done the leader board and such and redid the front page. sorry about the mix up.

Site update
« Reply #14 on: February 17, 2002, 02:56:04 AM »
A couple of more pages have been added and the site has been moved to a new server as Fortunecity was mucking me about with very poor service. The new location is http://sdugt2.fcpages.com/index.html
Both Spectre and I have been burning the midnight oil getting this done along with really heating up the PS1 hahahaha.

There should be a class for everyone and a good car to choose from as there are over 50 to choose from. I have recieved positive replies from both the Silvia and Toyspeed clubs and we really need a good representive crew from SDU in all skill levels.

The site will be going full on soon with a guest book, posting forums, mailing list and more. Check it out and join the fun.
